Located about 40 kilometers south of Marrakech, at the entrance to the village of Tahanaout, “Al Maqqam” is an artist residency founded by painter Mohamed Mourabiti in 2004. Each year, around 100 artists from across the globe come to this tranquil haven to recharge, observe, explore, and draw inspiration away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
